The Court Room has breath taking riverside views, leading to a large terrace. The room lends itself to smaller more formal meetings and presentations, but can be used for more social events, with the terrace the ideal place in good weather to enjoy a drinks reception overlooking the Thames.
The room is filled with a series of wonderful works of art illustrating the continued relationship between the Company, London Bridge and the River. Also depicted are various incarnations of the original Billingsgate Market, which was located very close to the Hall on Lower Thames Street for centuires, before it moved to the Isle of Dogs in 1982. In particular there is a stunning picture of the Market at 6am, painted by artist George Elgar Hicks in 1861, showing a scene of early morning trading.
