Restoring Our Rivers: Fisheries Director Andrew Wallace in Conversation with Mark Lloyd, Rivers Trust CEO

From sustainable seafood to cleaning up our rivers, our fisheries portfolio covers a wide remit, all aimed at providing healthy marine and freshwater environments, for all of us to enjoy.

Here in the first of a series of deep dives into our charitable work, Fisheries Director Andrew Wallace is joined by Mark Lloyd, CEO of the Rivers Trust to discuss the state of our rivers, the high profile question of water quality in the UK and learn more about how the Rivers Trust is turning the tide.

The FCFCT is a long-standing supporter and key partner of the Rivers Trust, donating c£150k since 2022, with continued support forecast over the next few years.

• The FCFCT is currently working with the Rivers Trust on:
• Restoring habitat in English catchments
• Developing the Scottish rivers trust network
• Working with the Shellfish Association of Great Britain to find solutions to inshore water quality problems, many of which have terrestrial origins.
