New Model School
The Fishmongers’ Company is a Patron of the New Model School which runs two private but not-for-profit prep schools in London, Maple Walk in North-West London and Faraday on Trinity Buoy Wharf in Tower Hamlets. Their aim is to provide excellent, affordable prep education. The Fishmongers’ Company’s Charitable Trust fully funds up to four concurrent places at Faraday. Details of the Fishmongers’ Faraday Award can be obtained directly from the school.
Ballykelly Primary School
The Fishmongers’ Company built the original primary school in Ballykelly, Northern Ireland in 1828 on lands it had acquired as part of the Ulster Plantation. Although the Company has long since disposed of these lands, it maintains close links with the primary school, rebuilt in 1966 and now a state school with an ethos of respect, care and inclusivity. The school’s crest contains elements of the Company’s coat of arms and its woodland trail is known as the Fishmongers’ Trail.
